Sharing details, a senior police officer said that they received a PCR call around 9.15 pm on April 7 regarding a stabbing incident following which the Station House Officer of Gokulpuri police station along with other staff rushed to the spot i.e. Sanjay Colony.

“The victim was identified as Himanshu, alias Chiku, had already been taken to GTB Hospital where he was declared brought dead by the attending doctors,” the officer said.

The police have registered a case of murder and began probing the matter by scanning the CCTV footage of the area where the incident took place. Preliminary interrogation revealed the siblings were irked with the fact that their sister was in a relationship with the victim and they also had a verbal spat with him which immediately turned violent and one of them stabbed him in the back.
