South Delhi to be made traffic jam-free: MP Bidhuri
South Delhi’s persistent traffic congestion and waterlogging issues may soon see a resolution as MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday to discuss key infrastructure projects.
Bidhuri urged the minister to approve improvements for Mandi-Jaunapur Road, Chhatarpur 100 Foota Road and the construction of a Master Plan Road behind Sangam Vihar and Sainik Farm. He also stressed the need to upgrade the drainage system on Badarpur Mathura Road to prevent waterlogging.
Following the meeting, Gadkari assured Bidhuri that these projects would be taken up and implemented at the earliest.
Bidhuri highlighted that Mandi-Jaunapur Road needed widening to 100 ft due to heavy traffic congestion. Expanding the road, he said, would significantly ease movement in the area.
Bidhuri expressed confidence that once these projects are completed, they would make South Delhi “jam-free”, providing relief to commuters and residents alike.
