An official said, “We got a PCR call regarding an accident in front of the Jorbagh Post Office around 12 midnight. A red Audi car rammed into a scooter. There were two persons, aged 19 years and 20 years, in the car at the time of the accident. They both are students”.

The official said the car was reportedly being driven at a high speed. While one of the victims was reported to be in a stable condition, Naitik is critical. Both car occupants have been detained.

“We are scrutinising the footage of CCTV cameras to know about the sequence of events. A case has been registered against the accused. Further investigation is on,” a senior police official said.
