If we worship Lord Rama, then we also have to follow the orders of our parents, speak the truth and follow decorum, said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

He was speaking at the Ramlila staged on Sunday at the Pearey Lal Bhawan in Delhi. Kejriwal said that the consecration of Ram Temple would take place in Ayodhya on Monday. Many people would not be able to go there on Monday even if they want to.

“I am very happy that the Delhi Government has organised a grand Ramlila for the people of Delhi. On this occasion, when we are worshiping Lord Shri Ram, we need to take inspiration from his life, thoughts and words. We must take inspiration from Lord Rama,” he said.

He said Lord Rama was the ruler of Ayodhya and the administration he gave is considered the ideal rule on Earth. If there is an administration, then it should be like that, he said.

Kejriwal said, “We are trying to run our government in Delhi by taking inspiration from the concept of Ram Rajya. We have decided that no one should sleep hungry in Delhi. Everyone should get proper ration. If someone is poor, then he is given free ration. We have made night shelters for the homeless. Food is also provided free of cost there. We have decided that every child should get good education. Now, good education is also being made available in Delhi.

“We have decided that every person, be it a poor man or a rich man, should get quality treatment, free treatment. We have decided that electricity should be available to every person. Be it poor or rich, Delhi residents get electricity 24 hours a day. Every person should have access to water. Efforts are being made to extend the availability of water to every corner and water has also been made free,” he added.

He said that all the elders in Delhi wish to visit a place of pilgrimage at least once in their life. The Delhi Government enables the elderly to go on free pilgrimage.

No morning classes at Govt, aided schools today

  • “However, all the government and government-aided schools running in the evening shift shall start at 2.30 pm on January 22 and will be off as usual, but not later than 5.30 pm,” it said.
  • Besides, the order is issued only for tomorrow and the schools will reopen as usual on Tuesday.
