A JBT teacher died by suicide by consuming some poisonous substance while on duty at the Government Secondary School in Khori Khurd village, Nuh district. The police said an eight-page suicide note was recovered from his possession in which he made serious allegations against fellow teachers of the school. They said an FIR has been registered against eight teachers of the school at the Sadar Tauru police station.

The police said the deceased teacher is identified as Jaipal (48), a resident of Majra village in Rewari district. He was working as a JBT teacher in the government middle school of Khori Khurd village in the Tauru area.

The police said there was a long-standing dispute between him and other teachers regarding cutting of trees and other arrangements in the school premises. Both sides were blaming each other. On Saturday afternoon, Jaipal had consumed some poisonous substance in the school premises. After getting information, a police team reached the spot, and the teacher was taken to the hospital, where he died during treatment.

The police recovered a suicide note in which the deceased had mentioned he was repeatedly harassed for trying to rectify the irregularities prevailing in the school.

“I had also complained to the district administration and the education department about the problem of cutting trees, but no action was taken. A teacher who came to investigate the complaint also threatened me, while the school staff abused and beat me. I was threatened to make a video if he protested,” he wrote in his note.
