The police have arrested an 18-year-old accused and three juveniles in connection with the murder of 15-year-old Nitish, who was killed in Shakurpur on November 8. The incident reportedly occurred following a confrontation over harassment allegations involving a friend’s sister. The arrested, identified as Mahender (18), was taken into custody along with three minors. According to the police, Nitish’s friend Jitender had been reportedly harassing a girl in Shakurpur, who is the sister of one of the minors involved in the case. When Nitish and Jitender were together, Mahender and the juveniles allegedly approached Jitender, warning him to stay away from the girl. The confrontation quickly escalated, and Nitish suffered a fatal head injury during the fight. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) Abhishek Dhania commended the police team, led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Kumar, for their swift action in tracing the accused.
