A 14-year-old boy was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his home in the Keshavpuram area of the North-West Delhi. The teen recorded the act on his mobile phone, the police said on Tuesday. The incident took place on Sunday when the police received information from Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital about a boy found hanging at his house.

During investigation, the police recovered a video from the teen’s mobile phone. In the video, the boy is seen attempting to hang himself. The police suspect that the accident occurred while making the reel, leading to the boy’s death.

In this half-hour video, the teen is seen putting a noose around his neck. After two or three attempts, the noose suddenly snaps around his neck.

A police officer said people typically express their distress before committing suicide, but the teen is not seen speaking in the video. It has also been learned that the teen was very fond of making reels and would frequently upload these on social media.
