  • The case was registered on “credible information that some NGOs and trusts were collecting funds from the country and abroad through so-called donations and business contributions” and then diverting them to fund terror activities in J&K.

A senior NIA official said, the actions against the NGOs and the trusts were being taken after receiving credible information that they were “diverting funds meant for charitable activities to secessionist and separatist activities” in Jammu and Kashmir through various channels, such as hawala and cash couriers.

“The locations which were raided today include premises of the Falah-e-Aam Trust, run by GM Bhat, Charity Alliance, run by Zafar ul Islam in Delhi, Human Welfare Foundation in Delhi and Anantnag, J&K Yateem Foundation in Srinagar and Kulgam, Salvation Movement, run by Zafar Akbar Bhat in Srinagar, and J&K Voice of Victims, run by Abdul Qadeer in Baramulla,” said a senior NIA official, adding that several incriminating documents and electronic devices were seized.
