Thar mows down motorcyclist in Moti Nagar area

A 40-year-old man was killed after an SUV hit his motorcycle in the Moti Nagar area, West Delhi, the police said on Saturday. According to the police, the accident took place on the intervening night of August 15 and 16. The biker, identified as Bechu Lal, died on the spot, an official said. “The Thar driver fled the spot after the incident. Legal action is being taken, and multiple teams have been formed to apprehend him,” he said.

Officials said a case had been registered at the Moti Nagar police station, and CCTV footage would be examined to establish the sequence of events and identify the accused.

This is the second incident involving the SUV this month. Earlier, a pedestrian was killed and another person was seriously injured after a Thar mowed them down near the 11 Murti landmark in the Chanakyapuri area in the national capital.
