The Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested three wanted accused — Ashish (26), Kunal (25), and Sumit (24) — in connection with an attempt to murder case registered at Naraina, West Delhi.

The trio had allegedly fired at a man, Ranjit, alias Toti, last month in an incident linked to a rivalry between local groups. Acting on a tip-off, the team laid a trap near the Naraina flyover slip road and apprehended them.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that they had attacked Ranjit, a former associate who had joined a rival group led by one Vikas, to assert dominance in the Naraina-Kirti Nagar area.

The police said Ashish and Sumit, both school dropouts, worked as mini-truck drivers, while Kunal is a third-year student at ARSD College, Dhaula Kuan. Ashish was previously involved in another attempt to murder case registered at Naraina in 2024. Three mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
