Three minors have been detained for allegedly luring and sexually assaulting a nine-year-old child on a secluded rooftop, the police said on Wednesday.
The incident came to light on November 4 when a relative of the child approached the police, alleging that the child had been sexually assaulted by three minors. One accused is 13-years-old while the other two are 16.
DCP (Central) Nidhin Valsan said the accused threatened the child with dire consequences if they disclosed the incident to anyone. The police stated that a case had been registered under Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
