Top RSS brass, Delhi CM attend prayer meet of Vaishnaw’s father

Top Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) brass, Union Ministers, Chief Mnisters of Delhi and Odisha besides several BJP and Opposition leaders on Friday offered floral tributes at a prayer meeting held here for Information and Broadcasting Minister's father, Dau Lal Vaishnaw.

The RSS was represented by the organisation's second in command Dattatreya Hosabale, RSS joint general secretary Arun Kumar, BJP general secretary organisation BL Santosh and RSS All-India media chief Sunil Ambekar.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his colleagues in the Council of Ministers, including Piyush Goyal, Jitin Prasada, Ravneet Bittu, attended the memorial event at Chinmaya Mission here.

CM Rekha Gupta and Odisha CM Mohan Majhi also attended the ceremony as did former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje and former minister Anurag Thakur.

NCP SP leader Supriya Sule and BJD leaders also paid their tributes.

Dau Lal Vaishnaw, 81, passed away at AIIMS, Jodhpur, on Tuesday morning.

He had been ailing for sometime. A senior advocate by profession, Dau Lal Vaishnaw hailed from Jeevant Kala village in Rajasthan’s Pali district. The last rites were held in Jodhpur.
