The victim, identified as Rakesh Saini, was fatally injured after being shot at least six times. The accused, who arrived on motorbikes, fled immediately after the shooting. Locals rushed Saini to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The police said the incident was sparked by an altercation that began on Monday evening. According to investigators, the suspects run a manpower supply firm near Saini’s shop. The firm’s owner had reportedly asked Saini to deliver samosas, but Saini refused, suggesting instead they come to the shop to eat. The disagreement escalated and Saini subsequently approached the Farrukhnagar police station to file a complaint.

“The suspects are believed to be connected to a manpower agency located near the victim’s establishment. We have detained two individuals and are investigating whether there was any previous enmity between the parties,” said Sukhbir Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pataudi.

The incident triggered widespread outrage in the locality. Residents and local traders staged a protest at Jhajjar Chowk, blocking the area and demanding accountability from the police for their alleged inaction following Saini’s earlier complaint.
