The cyber police have arrested two persons for fraud in Gurugram and recovered seven mobile phones and ATM cards each and 13 SIM cards from their possession.
The accused were identified as Shriram Meena, a resident of Khat Khurd village, and Sumit Meena, a resident of Ghudasi Ramri village in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. The police have taken the duo on a two-day police remand after they were produced in a city court.
According to the police, the complainant said the accused had duped him of nearly Rs 70,000.
An FIR was registered at the cybercrime police station (South) on October 10. While investigating, a team of the cyber police arrested two accused in Jaipur. “After two days’ police remand, the accused were produced in a city court and sent to judicial custody,” said Priyanshu Dewan, ACP (Cyber).
