The court of Additional Sessions Judge Punit Sehgal sentenced two convicts to life imprisonment and another convict to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) in a case of murder and car robbery.

According to the police, a complaint was received at the Badshahpur police station on February 21 in 2022, when the miscreants was killed the victim and robbed him of his car. On the basis of the complaint, a case was registered under Sections 201, 302 and 379B of the IPC at the Badshahpur police station.

During a police investigation, Sections 392, 397, 120B IPC and Arms Act were added to the FIR. During investigation, the police arrested three persons in the case, identified as Vishal Kumar and Rahul, both residents of SMS Colony, Jaipur (Rajasthan), and Ravi, a Banjara resident of Gauravnagar in Jaipur district of Rajasthan. They were produced in a court and sent to judicial custody.

“On the basis of the chargesheet filed by the Gurugram police, the court of Additional Sessions Judge Punit Sehgal declared the accused guilty on Friday. The court sentenced Vishal and Rahul to life imprisonment and imposed fines on them while it sentenced Vishal to 14 years of RI and imposed a fine on him as well,” said a spokesperson for the Gurugram police. — OC
