Untreated sewage waste causing filthy conditions
CIVIC conditions in some of the residential areas and colonies continue to deteriorate. Spilling of untreated waste has become common in a majority of the densely populated colonies of the NIT and Badkhal segments here. Though complaints have been raised with both elected representatives and officials of the Municipal Corporation, no response or action has been taken yet as everyone seems to be busy with the election campaign. Conditions in localities, including the Gandhi Colony, SGM Nagar, Sanjay Colony, Dabua Colony and Jawahar Colony, have turned worse after the onset of the monsoon. The authorities concerned need to take up the matter urgently as it poses a risk to residents.

Traffic jams at Bilaspur Chowk
TRAFFIC jams at the Bilaspur Chowk have become a serious problem, leading to tragic consequences, including the recent death of a person who suffered a fatal heart attack while stuck in the gridlock. However, it was reassuring to learn from the statements of the Manesar DCP and the traffic in-charge that there will be no issues of traffic jams at Bilaspur Chowk. If any jams do occur, these will be resolved on priority. This is indeed a commendable move.
