US Ambassador to India Eric M Garcetti reaffirmed his government’s commitment to girls’ education at the launch of a new children’s book series to promote gender-inclusive learning, on Friday.

The US Embassy here said the book-series had been developed through the US Agency for International Development’s programme for scaling-up early reading intervention.

The five-book series, written in Hindi, challenges stereotypes, promotes equality, and fosters inclusivity, with a special focus on gender diversity and inclusion.

Garcetti said: “As Ambassador to India, I have prioritised girls’ education, recognising it as one of the most transformative investments a society can make.”

“Educating girls not only provides them with knowledge, but also unlocks their potential to drive positive change within families, communities, and nations, he said.
