Uttarakhand’s culture, traditions displayed at state’s foundation day celebrations

The culture and traditions of Uttrakhand were on display at the state’s foundation day celebrations organised by the Delhi Government in Rohini on Sunday.

Delhi Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh attended the celebrations held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, Rohini Sector-24, as the chief guest. This event was planned by the Uttaranchal Religious and Social Development Association.

Singh said that such celebrations embodied the essence of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ and were establishing Delhi as a vibrant cultural hub.

He added that Delhi embraced the culture, language, and traditions of every Indian state with equal respect. “This is the true identity of Delhi and the real strength of India,” he said.

The Delhi Government has decided that every state’s foundation day will be celebrated with fervour in the national capital, honouring their unique cultural heritage and contribution to the nation’s progress.

Highlighting recent events, the Minister said that the Chhath Mahaparv was celebrated on a historic scale this year, with lakhs of devotees participating enthusiastically.

He remarked, “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi is witnessing such magnificent celebrations for the first time. These initiatives are a true reflection of the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.”

Commending the efforts of the organising committee, the Minister said that the glimpse of Uttarakhand’s culture, traditions, and brotherhood presented in the event was truly inspiring for all Delhi residents.

He extended warm greetings to everyone on the occasion and assured that the government would continue to encourage and support such cultural initiatives in the future.

A large number of residents from Delhi and Uttarakhand, representatives of social organisations, senior officials, and public representatives were present on the occasion.
