Veterinary doctor nabbed for tenant’s murder in Faridabad

Faridabad police have arrested a private veterinary doctor for the murder of his tenant at Sihi village. The accused reportedly confessed to having beaten the tenant, who later died from his injuries, after suspecting him of harbouring ill intentions towards women in his family.

Police have taken the accused on four days’ remand after he was produced in a city court. According to the complaint lodged by Deshraj, a resident of Dhameda village in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, his son Anuj had left home on October 16 for Aligarh on a motorcycle. On October 17, Anuj’s body was found in the Sihi village area of Faridabad with multiple injuries. A case was registered at Sector 8 police station.

During investigation, the Crime Unit team from Sector 56 arrested the accused, identified as Kuldeep (43), a private veterinary doctor and resident of Sihi village. He later confessed to the crime.

“During interrogation, the accused revealed that the deceased Anuj had rented a room in his house in Sihi village, where he would occasionally visit. The deceased harboured ill intentions towards the women in the accused’s family, so he beat him with a stick in the room. The victim sustained injuries and ran away, but his body was later found near the village. We are questioning the accused after taking him on police remand,” said a spokesperson for Faridabad police.
