At least four people were killed in a massive 20-vehicle pile-up on the Mumbai–Delhi Expressway on Monday after dense smog severely reduced visibility, officials said.
As per NDTV report, the accident occurred around 5 am and resulted in deaths of four people, including two police officers, and left 15 to 20 others seriously injured.

The multi-vehicle collision occurred as drivers were unable to see clearly due to thick smog, leading to a chain-reaction crash involving cars and heavy vehicles. Several others were injured, though authorities have not yet confirmed the exact number.
Emergency response teams, including police, fire services, and ambulances, were rushed to the scene to rescue trapped passengers and provide medical aid. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Traffic on the affected stretch of the expressway was disrupted for several hours as damaged vehicles were cleared and the road was made safe for movement. Authorities issued advisories urging motorists to avoid the area and drive cautiously amid low-visibility conditions.
