Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has unveiled a new web application designed to assist voters in locating their polling stations within the MCD jurisdiction.

The initiative aims to simplify the voting process and enhance voter participation by providing clear directions and real-time navigation to polling stations.

MCD’s IT Director Dilkhush Meena said under the guidance of Commissioner Ashwani Kumar, the application has been developed to make the electoral process more accessible.

“Our goal is to leverage technology to offer real-time navigation and instant feedback mechanisms, making it easier for every citizen to vote with confidence,” he said.

Voters can now visit the web application at https://election.mcd.gov.in/ to search for their polling station by Assembly constituency or address. The platform also offers a “View on Map” feature to provide turn-by-turn navigation, ensuring voters can easily find their designated polling stations.

The MCD has implemented a colour-coding system at polling stations to further streamline the voting experience. Voters will receive a colour-coded slip that corresponds to their designated booth. Clear standees, directional boards and coloured strips will guide voters to their respective booths, making the process more efficient.

Voters can also access the official colour-coded booth list at https://uat.mcd.gov.in/ps for additional assistance. To gather feedback and improve future elections, the MCD has introduced a QR code system at polling stations. Voters can scan the code and fill a brief feedback form, offering valuable insights to help the MCD enhance the voting experience.
