THE issue of waterlogging on the main roads and the National Highway are causing problems in the movement of people round the clock. The waterlogged areas pose a risk of accidents due to hidden pits or open sewage points that remain invisible due to accumulation of water. The problem continues for more than 24 hours at many spots due to poor drainage system. The authorities including the NHAI which takes user charges in form of road toll can not escape the responsibility of a proper upkeep of the roads. In this exclusive enclave where flats cost over Rs 100 crore, luxury cars were seen floating in waist-deep water after just half an hour of rainfall.
