Many intersections and stretches here have become increasingly unsafe due to poor traffic regulation. Despite the growing number of high-risk crossings, the authorities have yet to implement adequate measures to ensure proper traffic management. One such dangerous spot is the crossing near the Police Lines in Sector 30, where vehicles routinely ignore traffic rules. The lack of marked stoppage lines at the crossing allows drivers to violate traffic signals, with two- and three-wheeler auto-rickshaws frequently jumping red lights. The traffic police are urged to take stricter action and penalise offenders to ensure the safety of commuters and improve traffic discipline across the city.
