Divyansh wins Junior TT gold

Delhi’s Divyansh won gold medal in the boys’ junior (M-03) category, while Haryana’s Hitesh Dhaka and local contender Dipit claimed second and third positions, respectively, on the concluding day of the National Table Tennis Championship, organised by Special Olympics Bharat (SOB), Chandigarh, at the Sector 23 TT hall.

In the F-03 event, M Kavitha of Andhra Pradesh, Delhi’s Neha and Maharashtra’s Supriya Gaikar bagged the top three positions, respectively. In the M-03 Unified Doubles, Haryana’s Yash Gulliya and Arvind claimed the top position, followed by the pair of Bilal Bhat and Ayaz Ahmad from Kashmir and Rajasthan’s Parin Jain and Yash Mirdh. In the senior M-05 category, Maharashtra’s Sakel Dev Chakke won the gold medal while Punjab’s Nikki and Sahil Singh of Uttar Pradesh stood second and third, respectively.

Rajeev Verma, Chief Secretary, UT, felicitated the winners. The event brought together athletes with intellectual disabilities from over 20 states.
