Dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev, the Punjab Government will set up a digital museum and organise a light and sound show from December 23 to 25 at the Multi-Purpose Stadium in Nehru Memorial College, Mansa.

The Deputy Commissioner of Mansa, Apneet Riyait, while presiding over a meeting convened to discuss arrangements for the event, said the digital museum and the light and sound show would recall the journey of Guru Nanak Dev and the impact it had on humanity. Laced with latest digital techniques, the events come as a lifetime opportunity for the people of Mansa to know more about the Guru.

The digital museum would be put on display from December 23 to December 25, while the light and sound show would be held on December 24 and December 25, she said. Entry to both the events is free. The DC directed officials to make proper arrangements for the visitors.

The Municipal Council of Mansa has been directed to ensure cleanliness, while the police have been asked to provide security as well as traffic management services. The district Education Department has been directed to facilitate visit of school students to the events. The DC has directed Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the event.

ADC (General) Rajdeep Singh Brar, DDPO Dinesh Vashisht, Budhlada SDM Aditya Dechalwal, Mansa SDM Sarabjit Kaur, Sardulgarh SDM Rajpal Singh and DSP Sarabjit Singh were also present on the occasion.
