India’s High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami, showed a photo to Sky News’ Yalda Hakim, which he claimed depicts Pakistani military personnel standing behind Hafiz Abdul Rauf—a terrorist under the US sanctions regime. This revelation comes amid the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions. The video has since gone viral, with viewers praising Doraiswami’s composed yet assertive handling of the discussion.

The image, he said, was symbolic of Pakistan’s links with terror groups.

The conversation came in the wake of reports that Pakistan used Chinese-made J-10 fighter jets to down Indian aircraft. While the claims were attributed to Reuters and US officials, Doraiswami dismissed them firmly, saying, “There is no evidence of that. We haven’t confirmed any such thing.”

Doraiswami called out to Pakistan’s double standards, asking, “If they are retaliating, what are they retaliating against? Attacks on terror infrastructure?”

When asked about Islamabad’s offer for an international probe into the Pahalgam terror attack, Doraiswami cited examples like the 2016 Pathankot attack and 2008 Mumbai attacks where Pakistan either stalled or manipulated cooperation.

“All they did was use the so-called cooperation to hide their tracks and shield their assets,” he said.

As border tensions rise, Doraiswami’s interview has struck a chord with many for its clarity, conviction, and exposure of Pakistan’s duplicity.
