Law & order has collapsed in state, says MP Selja

Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Kalanwali Municipal Committee, Sirsa MP Kumari Selja criticised the Haryana Government over the recent threat received by INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala. Responding to a media question, Selja said the law and order situation in the state has completely collapsed, and today neither political leaders nor common citizens feel safe.

Selja said this kind of situation reflected a total failure of the government in ensuring basic security. Her remarks came shortly after attending the official swearing-in ceremony of Chairperson Mahesh Jhorar and the newly elected councillors of the Kalanwali Municipal Committee.

The oath of office and secrecy was administered by SDM Mohit Kumar at his office on Thursday. Mahesh Jhorar was the first to take the oath, followed by the councillors. In her address, Selja congratulated the new representatives and called for unity in working for the town’s development. She assured them of her’s and local MLA Shishpal Keharwala’s support.

Highlighting the pressing issue of drinking water in Kalanwali, Selja announced that resolving this would be her priority.
