The Amritsar police in coordination with district administration officials razed an alleged illegally constructed property of a known drug smuggler, identified as Rajinder Singh, alias Raju, at Thathi Mohalla, Ghanupur, in Chheharta here on Monday. Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said the property belonged to Rajinder Singh and his wife Sunita, who have been repeatedly booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. He said the demolition was part of the government’s policy to dismantle the financial and structural networks of drug traffickers operating in the region.

Her husband Rajinder Singh (44) faces 10 cases, including eight under the NDPS Act and two preventive actions under Section 110 of the CrPC.
