Virat Kohli’s agonising wait for an IPL title finally ended as Royal Challengers Bengaluru emerged champions, while MS Dhoni watched helplessly as five-time winners Chennai Super Kings hit rock bottom. Kohli, who was part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup last year and the ODI Champions Trophy a few months ago, looked determined from the outset to conquer the IPL frontier — and he did it with trademark panache.
