THE Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, passed by Parliament without a debate, outlaws any online game played with money. Describing online money gaming as a serious social and public health issue, the government has stated that it is keen to promote eSports and social gaming, which don’t involve any financial risk. The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
