After directing employees to wear formal attire during duty hours, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has now instructed all departments to issue fieldwork schedules to ensure that visitors to government offices do not face any inconvenience.

He further added that whenever any officer or employee goes out in the field for official work, it must be recorded in the movement register so that people visiting offices do not face any inconvenience. Even, the DC said biometric attendance would soon be implemented in all offices, and salary would be given to the employees accordingly.

“As per the service guidelines, it is already mentioned that the officers and employees should wear clothes that reflect courtesy, discipline and civility. The officers and employees should also use mobile phones only when necessary or related to official work. All officers and employees have joined government service with the objective of serving the public and must perform their duties in the same spirit,” said Gupta while interacting with the media on Friday.

Appealing to the general public, the DC said if they had any problem, they should come to the grievance redressal camps, because many issues were related to two or more departments. In such cases, the problem could be resolved on the spot at these camps where officers from all departments were present.
