Celebrities unite for World Environment Day

Ahead of World Environment Day (June 5), celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Bhumi Pednekar, Rajkummar Rao, SonuSood, Arjun Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu and others, have decided to come together for the UN’s special music video. Our Bollywood actors have taken it upon themselves to deliver an important message regarding the environment. The initiative has been supported by the United Nations and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The song will drop on June 5 and it is composed by Shaan while Swanand Kirkire has penned the lyrics. Singers B Praak, Adnan Sami, Shankar Mahadevan and Palak Muchhal among others have lent their voices to the song. Talking about the same, environmentalist Asif Bhamla says, “Since the theme is restoration of the ecosystem this year, the music video focuses on how we need to rejuvenate the planet, the way our forefathers did for us. Bollywood celebrities are role models. Arjun, Taapsee, Bhumi, Rajkummar, Shilpa and Sonu Sood are part of the song.”
