Actress Madhuri Dixit Nene, who is hosting the fourth season of Dance Deewane, says there is no dearth of talent in the country
This is the fourth season of Colors’ show Dance Deewane that you are judging? How do you feel?
It’s a wonderful feeling. This marks my fourth season, having hosted three seasons before this. Stepping on to the set is always an exhilarating experience because I meet a lot of people, and it’s astonishing to witness the abundance of talent that exists in India. I get to watch talent coming from small towns, whether they are kids or dancers, who belong to the second or third generation. Everyone is given the opportunity to showcase their talent. This is the biggest strength of the show.
What’s new in this season? Tell us something about the theme of the show.
Well, the theme of this season is family and it’s not just any competitive platform or stage. It’s our home and we are welcoming families from different parts of India. And now there will be a building of dance family, which feels amazing to me. We’ll be interacting with families, getting to know their children and members from the second and third generations, and witnessing their life and entire journey in this season.
Suniel Shetty is judging this show for the first time, how do you feel being on panel with him?
Suniel is mind-blowing on the show. This is my first collaboration with him, and I don’t know why we never worked together before. While we haven’t shared the screen in films, this opportunity came about and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Initially, I sensed a bit of apprehension in him. But as soon as he stepped onto the set and began sharing his comments, I was very impressed with his ease. The way he talks is amazing!
Are there any interesting moments that you would like to share?
The interesting moment is the fact that Suniel Shetty is co-judging with me. For the first, we are sharing a platform, and the audience will see us together. I think that is the biggest USP for me.
If you were given the chance to dedicate a song to Suniel Shetty and perform with him in the family theme set for this show, which song would it be?
Well, I love a song from one of his films titled Jhanjhariya Uski Chanak Gayi and I will definitely perform that song with him.
What would you like to say to your fans?
Dance Deewane is just about to kick off, and I urge all of you to tune in. Whether you’re a fan of Suniel ji or me, watch this season. We have amazing talent on this show. This season is going to be incredible.
