It’s a quintessential love song. It’s a feeling that all of us have gone through at some point. I am hoping that the youth will like this.
Apart from singing, you have also acted and directed this music video. How was the experience?
I am a creative person and I have always directed my songs. Nothing is easy and we all face challenges in life. As a creator when you are involved with something from start to finish, you have that satisfaction and that is the best part of it.
What role did music play in your life?
Music is something which came into my life when I was in my darkest zone. Couple of years ago, I was not doing well professionally. So, I picked up a guitar and started singing. And, I am happy that music gave me that assurance and through that I have connected with my audience. I got my acting career back.
In music who all have inspired you?
I love Justin Bieber. His music and music videos have really amazed me. I am also a big admirer of A R Rahman, Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar.
What has the pandemic taught you?
The pandemic has taught me to be patient. It is not easy to sit idle at home and do nothing. It has also taught me how to survive.
What is there on your wish-list now?
There is a lot to do. I want to create my own music label, want to have my own production house and direct my own film. I am only 32 and I have a long way to go.
On the acting front, what’s next?
I have about 14 projects. I am so grateful as I have gone through a phase when I had nothing. The last 5 – 6 years have been tough but after Aashram everything changed. I am grateful now. The line-up includes Trapped, Con Man and Dharamshetra.
