Aditya Dhar, Yami Gautam seek blessings at Bilaspur’s Naina Devi Temple after ‘Dhurandhar’ success
‘Dhurandhar’ earns over Rs 200 crore within first seven days
Bollywood couple Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam visited the famed Shaktipeeth Shri Naina Devi Temple in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, to seek blessings following the phenomenal box-office success of Dhar’s latest directorial, “Dhurandhar”.
The espionage thriller — starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, among others — has been breaking records since its release on December 5, earning over Rs 200 crore in its first seven days. The film has received glowing reviews from critics and industry peers alike, including Akshay Kumar, who said he was “blown away,” and Smriti Irani, who praised Dhar as a “craftsperson par excellence.”
Dhar and Gautam were accompanied by the Gautam family, including Yami’s mother Anjali Gautam, and performed traditional rituals during their temple visit.
Speaking to India Today about the experience, Dhar said, ““Bahot sundar anubhav tha. Bahot khush hue. Mata ke darshan jab bhi hote hain, hamesha dil bhar aata hai. Toh bahot dhanyawaad, aur bahot achche darshan karwaye hamare (It was a wonderful experience. We were very happy. Whenever we get to do the darshan of the Mata, our hearts are always filled with joy. So, thank you very much for arranging such a wonderful darshan for us.)”
Dhurandhar, which explores the story of an undercover Indian spy, is already slated for a sequel release in March 2026.
