What made you come back on the show as a host?

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa holds a special place in my heart as I started my hosting career with this show. I feel really honoured to be back with this new season.

Any special style that you are planning for the new season?

The show will be quite challenging as there will be many surprises. Talking about my approach, we are working on executing some creative twists. We want to present something new and exciting to the viewers every time we take to the stage.

What according to you works for the audience when it comes to music?

The audience now-a-days likes to see new things and hence it is important to present fresh songs as well. Talking about television, it is important to break the monotony of daily television shows and music reality shows. The aim of our show is to bring in something new for the audience.

What is new for the viewers in this season?

There is a lot of variety of singers this time, singers who would be singing songs of different genres.

How is the experience working with the renowned judges?

I share a great rapport with all three judges — Shankar Mahadevan, Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani. I have immense respect for all three. Working with all is so much fun.

For hosting this show have you done any special preparations?

Though last season’s hosting was great, I will be adding a lot my own masala to make the hosting more entertaining.

What is your take on the current music scenario?

Melody is missing but some singers are trying to do their best.
