Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi to star in the remake of Driving Licence

Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi are coming together on screen in the remake of Malayalam film Driving Licence.

The movie will be directed by Good Newwz-fame director Raj Mehta. A source says, “This is the first time the two actors are going to work together. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Driving Licence which featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles.”

Akshay will reprise Prithviraj’s character who is a superstar while Emraan will play the role of a traffic inspector, who is also a diehard fan of the superstar.

The source further said that the shooting of the movie is expected to start early next year. Raj is currently finishing his upcoming film Jug Jugg Jeeyo that has Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and Neetu Kapoor.

“There is one song for which the unit will be travelling to Russia after which the film will move into the post-production stage,” added the source.
