Akshay Kumar misses his mother, posts an emotional video ‘Aaj maa bahut yaad aa rahi hai’

Akshay Kumar has left his fans emotional today. Through an Instagram video, the actor shared that he is dearly missing his mother. With a spiritual chant ‘Namastasye Namo Namah’ playing in the background, Akshay is looking into oblivion. In the caption, he wrote, “Yun hi, aaj maa bahut yaad aa rahi hai. (Today I am missing my mother a lot)”.

In early September, Akshay’s mother Aruna Bhatia was admitted in the ICU of Hiranandani hospital, Mumbai. Akshay was shooting for his film ‘Cinderella’ in the UK and rushed back home to be with her. On September 8, he announced her demise. In grief, he wrote, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”

On the work front, Akshay is enjoying the success of his recent release ‘Sooryavanshi’. In the coming months, he will be seen in ‘Raksha Bandhan’ with Bhumi Pednekar, ‘Atrangi Re’ with Sara Ali Khan’. He also has Prithviraj, OMG, Bachahan Pandey and Ram Setu in his kitty.
