Alia Bhatt has made her love for animals very vocal. We all know about her cats Edward and Juniper. An animal lover, during the lockdown when she moved in with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, she shared pictures of his pets and said, “They make everything better.” Ranbir has two dogs and Alia posted pictures of both of them. Every now and then, the actress has talked lovingly of her pets and of animals in general. So, now when PETA (INDIA) has named her 2021 ‘Person of the Year’, we kind of know why.
Apart from her acting skills and fashion choices, Alia is now walking the path to inspire many. She was awarded the prestigious title to “celebrate her work in support of an animal-friendly fashion industry and her advocacy for dogs and cats in need,” PETA India said.

In 2021, Alia also invested in Phool, a company behind Fleather, a vegan leather made from discarded temple flowers. Her vegan kidswear line won a 2021 PETA India fashion award for helping to nurture kids’ love for animals and nature.
Apart from that, Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar have been awarded ‘Most Beautiful Vegetarian’ title of 2021 by PETA (India).
