Ace choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan had taken it upon her to help a 16-month-old baby, Ayansh Madan who had been suffering from a rare genetic disorder. His ailment, Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) made his throat and lung muscles weak, so much so that he could not talk, cough or swallow anything. The only cure for him was the drug Zolgensma, which is the world’s most expensive medicine.

Farah Khan was the special guest on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 13’ for its ‘Shaandaar Shukravaar’ episode, and she played for contributing towards Ayansh’s treatment.

Farah, who had appeared in the episode with Deepika Padukone on September 10, managed to win 25 lakhs. She even put out a post on her social media the very next day that said, “After an overwhelming response to the ‘KBC’ episode, everyone wanted to donate. Here are the details and also links are in my bio… no amount is small.”

Towards the end of September, Farah had posted another message that read, “Almost there! Thank uuuu #kaunbanegacrorepati for the boost in donations... thank you all the generous souls who donated. Let’s continue” At the time, 11.82 cr was collected for baby Ayansh’s treatment.

Now, it turns out that the 16 cr mark has been met and baby Ayansh can finally be treated.  Farah took to her social media again to say, "I am so happy that the required amount, 16 crores, has been collected for Ayansh Madan's treatment. This is a potential ray of hope for the baby as Zolgensma is a one-time gene replacement therapy. I would truly like to thank ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ for giving me a platform to talk about this and reach out to people far and wide. I would also like to thank Deepika Padukone for choosing me to come on the show with her. From Mr. Bachchan to all the generous donors out there, I would like to say a big thank you. It is overwhelming to see people stepping up and reaching out to help in such challenging times.”

Here's wishing baby Ayansh a beautiful life ahead!
