Interestingly, I was not aware of this till I bagged the role in Kaatelal & Sons. I was not planning to do TV again, but this role really caught my eye. Dharampal is unlike any character I have ever essayed previously. I was moved by the grey shade of this character and the overall concept of the show.

Both the girls are fantastic co-stars. They are bubbly and bring a charming aura to the set. It is fun to shoot with them and I feel working with new people always helps a person to grow. We are all perfecting our Haryanvi dialect and starting this new journey with them is exciting.

Learning Haryanvi and keeping the dialect the same across all shots.

This is the first time that I am playing a character that might seem as an antagonist, but in reality is not. In the past, I have done shows where my character was mellow or may be funny but Dharampal Thakur is proud, opinionated patriarch of the family. I am getting to essay several shades of human behaviour through this character.

We have just started shooting and I think every day we are getting to know each other better. We are discovering about each other’s character more and honing our skills together.
