After celebrities from Punjab, now Bollywood celebs have come out in support of the protesting farmers. Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter on Sunday and wrote, “Our farmers are India’s food soldiers. Their fears need to be allayed. Their hopes need to be met. As a thriving democracy, we must ensure that this crisis is resolved sooner than later.”

On the other hand, Priety Zinta tweeted, “My heart goes out to the farmers and their families protesting in the cold during the pandemic. They are the soldiers of the soil that keep our country going. I sincerely hope the talks between the farmers & government yields positive results soon. #Farmerprotests #Rabrakha.”

Even Sonam Kapoor shared a photo of farmers protesting on Instagram and captioned it as, “When tillage begins, other arts follow. The farmers, therefore, are the founders of human civilisation.”

Other celebs who came out in support include Chitrangda Singh, Sonu Sood, Angad Bedi, Riteish Deshmukh, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker and Richa Chadha.
