'Bigg Boss' torturing participants, putting their mental health at risk, says ex-contestant and Tamil actor

Tamil actress Oviya Helen has alleged that the makers of popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ have been putting the mental health of contestants at risk.
It was more than 10 years ago that Oviya made her debut in the film industry, but she received major fame only after stepping into ‘Bigg Boss’ Tamil Season 1 around three years ago. The show was hosted by superstar Kamal Haasan.
Though Oviya’s positive approach inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house made her a favourite of many, she had her share of bitter experiences too. A few of the contestants walked out of the show after having suicidal thoughts, something the actor cited for the alleged mental torture the contestants faced on the show.
The actress put forth her views during her recent interaction on Twitter, alleging the show producers tried all dirty tricks to increase TRP.
Seeking the views of her fans on whether the show should be banned, Oviya tweeted, “I wish they should not torture contestants until commit suicide for TRP (sic).”
A contract paper should not be the license to put someone in mental trauma or make dem commit suicide.every life matters! I’m not saying to ban the show.atleat show some mercy sir!we are all human ✌🙏
