Chandni Soni hails from Himachal Pradesh and is married in a family based in Delhi. Even though she comes from a background with no connection to the industry, she has been able to make some real and genuine friends. Sharing a picture with actor Vishal Singh, Chandni says, “He is a family friend and gem of a person. It is very rare to find a person like that, who is so grounded and well-behaved.” On being asked if there can be genuine friendship in the entertainment industry, she adds, “Of course it is very much possible. Actors are human beings too.At the end of the day, even they need someone to confide in.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
