The 307th monthly baithak organised by Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, was marked by an enchanting classical vocal performance by young and talented vocalist Priyanka Thakur on Saturday. The event took place at the ML Koser Indoor Auditorium, Sector 35B. Priyanka commenced the evening with a rendition of Raag Malkauns, presenting a Vilambit Khayal titled Peer Na Jane Balam. She followed it with a Drut Khayal composition, Balam Nahi Aaye, set in teen taal, bringing energy and rhythm to the performance.

The highlight was her presentation of Har Har Mahadev Pati, a Tappa Khayal in Ati Drut, which earned her wide appreciation. To conclude, she rendered the popular Himachali folk song Kunju Chanchalo, which was met with huge applause f. She was ably accompanied by Divyansh Thakur on tabla and Piyush Mishra on harmonium, both adding depth to the recital.
