Actor Farhan Akhtar was on Thursday brutally trolled for wrongly congratulating the Indian women’s hockey team after men’s team won Olympic bronze medal after 41 years.

After Indian men’s hockey team won the match at Tokyo, Farhan Akhtar mistakenly congratulated the girls. He wrote: “Go girls!!! So proud of #teamIndia for showing exemplary fighting spirit and bringing in our 4th medal…super stuff.”

Farhan was brutally trolled for his gaffe, he soon deleted the tweet, and posted it without “go girls” part.
