Zee Theatre is all set to bring yet another masterpiece, Purush. Written by Jaywant Dalvi, this powerful teleplay can be seen this week at 2 pm and 8 pm. Gulki Joshi, who plays the protagonist Ambika, recalls how she bagged the pivotal role after meeting the director Sourabh Shrivastava, “I remember meeting Sourabh sir randomly and told him that it had been a long time since I had done a play. He said he would look for something and just one month later, he called me to say that he had found a role for me! And I was surprised when he told me that I will be part of the teleplay Purush in the role of Ambika.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
