Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros., says it’s a miracle that without any formal training he can sing and compose songs

‘My music is God’s miracle’ says Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros. A pass out of Scindia School, Gwalior, he started with acting but it was music that earned him a place in the entertainment industryalong with his brother. Here’s knowing the Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan hitmaker!
Journey into the world of music
I was in Class IX when I and Manmeet turned our conversation to a song – Jogi Singh Barnala Singh. By the end of the month, the whole school was singing it. It was our first hit number sans any social media exposure. That without any training I can write, sing, compose and act in a song video can only be called a miracle.
Lockdown learning
I am a positive person. At home with my family, it gave me the time to think out of box. I was not into social media, but I realised its power as I turned a show host. There were some harsh truths to face too. I lost my friend Kushal Punjabi. It came as a shock to me that such a happy, positive person could do something like that. We have launched a suicide prevention programme that provides help to anyone feeling low, depressed or suicidal.
Punjabi that I am
Our Punjabi numbers are our identity. Food is still paranthas and dal chawal.
Punjabis I admire
Kumaar is a legend for me. I really appreciate Honey Singh. He launched a new wave in music.
I find strength in
My brother Manmeet. We have always been a pillar of strength to each other. We have been the best of friends and colleagues.
Life’s philosophy
I believe in living life in gratitude. Everyone wants to grow, emotionally and financially. Do it but also value people in your life. Take time in life to appreciate all that you have and keep doing your best.
Message to Punjab
We owe much of our fame to our Punjabi fans. I consider the entire Punjab my extended family. Keep supporting us.
