Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has pledged to donate all his winnings from the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) to support flood relief efforts in Punjab.
Diljit Dosanjh would appear on KBC hosted by Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, this the singer confirmed in his reply to a fan on social media.

The episode is set to air this month. This generous gesture comes in response to the severe flooding that hit Punjab during the 2025 monsoon season, displacing thousands and damaging homes and livelihoods.
Diljit’s donation would go toward local NGOs and grassroots organisations involved in relief and rehabilitation work across the state.
In addition, his Saanjh Foundation has announced it would adopt 10 flood-affected villages in Gurdaspur and Amritsar districts to provide long-term assistance, including rebuilding efforts, medical aid and essential supplies.
Diljit is no stranger to philanthropy. In 2020, he donated Rs 1 crore for winter clothing to support farmers protesting against farm laws.
His ongoing commitment to social causes continues to earn him widespread respect.
While the exact amount he won on KBC hasn’t been officially disclosed, reports suggest it was a substantial sum.
Beyond his financial contribution, Diljit has also been using his platform to raise awareness and rally support from the Punjabi diaspora and wider public.
Several other public figures, including entrepreneur Raj Kundra, have also joined the ongoing flood relief efforts.
