While Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have revealed the list of their upcoming films that are set for a direct release on OTT, now we hear that Disney Hotstar is also gearing up to premiere a slate of big films on its platform. There are close to five big budget films that might take a direct-to-digital route on Disney Hotstar this year. The first film is multi-starrer horror-comedy Bhoot Police, which features Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam.

Apart from this, Hungama 2 by Priyadarshan is also going straight to OTT. The film stars Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Meezaan Jaffery, Pranitha Subhash, Johnny Lever, Tiku Talsania, Ashutosh Rana, and Rajpal Yadav. It has a special cameo from Akshaye Khanna. Further, Dinesh Vijan’s Shiddat will also release on the same platform. Shiddat stars Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Diana Penty and Mohit Raina in the lead roles. While Mohit and Diana are paired together, Sunny will be seen opposite Radhika.

The next film which is eying for a direct OTT release on Disney Hotstar is said to be Kriti Sanon’s Mimi. Kriti will be seen in the role of a young surrogate mother in this Laxman Utekar’s directorial. Lastly, Kirti Kulhari and Nivedita Bhattacharya’s road-trip story Shaadistan will also make its way to the Disney Hotstar catalogue. The film stars Kay Kay Menon and marks the directorial debut of Raj Singh Chaudhary.
